OUR HISTORY

Magic Valley Ministries begins a new chapter in our history on July 1, 2026. While Hagerman and Wendell UMC remain Magic Valley Ministries, we will be sharing a pastor with Gooding and Crossroads-Kimberly UMCs. We look forward to this new partnership and discovering where the spirit leads our four churches.

Magic Valley Ministries began in 2013 with six area churches coming together with an idea that being in ministry together in our communities was more important than being individual churches in each town. We share pastors, mission, love, and care for people in the Magic Valley and throughout the world. In 2018, we said goodbye to Twin Falls First UMC, when they decided to pursue ministry on their own. We also experienced the faithful completion (closure) of Filer United Methodist Church (in 2022), Jerome United Methodist Church (in 2023), and Buhl United Methodist Church (in 2026). We said hello to a new ministry online through our Zoom service, which connects us with people all over the country. We welcome all who want to worship online and in-person - we recognize that church isn’t a building or even needs to happen in a building - People are the church - online and offline.

The Hagerman and Wendell churches are exploring new possibilities for ministry in the greater Magic Valley area, alongside our neighbors in Gooding and Kimberly (Crossroads). We welcome a new pastor in July of 2026 and are eager to see where the Holy Spirit leads us.
